Signs your brakes need work
- Squealing, grinding or clunking when you brake
- A pulsing or shuddering brake pedal
- The vehicle pulling to one side under braking
- A soft or spongy pedal, or one that sinks to the floor
- The brake warning light on
- Stopping distances getting longer
Grinding usually means the pads are down to metal and are cutting into the rotors. The sooner it's looked at, the cheaper the fix.

Brake upgrades
Standard brakes on a loaded ute or a 4WD towing a van can fade on long descents and in the heat. We fit heavier-duty pads, slotted rotors and upgraded calipers for vehicles that tow, tour or carry heavy loads every day.
Parts
We can supply and fit new, used or reconditioned brake parts, including calipers and ABS units, for most 4WDs. See our used 4x4 brake parts page. Used parts we supply come with our 3-month Silver warranty, and you can upgrade any part to Gold (6 months) or Platinum (12 months) when you buy.
Warranty
Our workshop work carries a 3-month or 5,000 km workmanship warranty, whichever comes first. The details are in our terms of sale.
