A worn diff rarely fails without warning. It whines at a steady speed, clunks when you take up drive, or leaves oil on the inside of the wheel. Towing, heavy loads and corrugations all speed the wear along.
We repair front and rear diffs in 4WDs and utes at our Winnellie workshop, from a leaking pinion seal through to new bearings and gear sets.
Signs your diff needs work
- A whine or hum that changes as you speed up or back off
- A clunk when you take off or change from drive to reverse
- Vibration through the floor at highway speed
- Oil leaking from the pinion seal, axle seals or diff housing
- Grinding or rumbling when turning

We stock used and reconditioned diffs and diff centres, and source harder-to-find ones from 300+ of Australia's best wrecking yards. Used parts come with our 3-month Silver warranty, and you can upgrade any part to Gold (6 months) or Platinum (12 months) when you buy.
